Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our Global Perspectives Program is taking on a new initiative, and we are asking you for assistance. Global Perspectives is a five credit, grade eleven, second-semester program offered at Innisdale Secondary School. This exceptional program gives students an opportunity to learn more about their world through in-depth classroom study and actual travel to Cuba and Germany. Our Global Perspectives class will soon be traveling to Cuba for a two-week stay in April. While in Cuba, we will be visiting elementary and high schools. These Cuban institutes differ dramatically from the ones we are accustomed to in Canada. Our class will be bringing over humanitarian bags to support the children in Cuban communities.
We are excited to be partnering with the Hyde Park Free the Children Team to implement this initiative at your child’s school.
We are looking for donations of pencils, pencil crayons, crayons, erasers, construction paper, colouring paper, colouring books, lined paper, calculators, glue, duotangs and any other school supplies a child attending school should have. We will bring the school supplies with us to give to children in Cuba.
The deadline for school supplies to be brought to Hyde Park is Monday, April 1st.
Together we are going to make a difference in our Global Community.
We appreciate all your support with this initiative!
