Dear Parents,

I would like to personally invite you to join me and our literacy team in making a difference in the lives of our children here at Hyde Park Public School by supporting us in the upcoming Indigo Adopt a School program.

Although we are fortunate enough to have an amazing library space in our new school, this library does not come filled with books.  We continue to slowly purchase books as our budget allows but how exciting that we can infuse a large number of new books into circulation through this phenomenal program with Indigo.

There are two ways that our community can support our school online at adoptaschool.indigo.ca. Through Book Bonus or Tell a Story, Give a Story, the Foundation is matching your support up to 50 additional books for every participating school! This means, if you give 2 books to our school, the Foundation will add an extra book to your donation, up to 40 books! Or if you, Tell a Story, Give a Story for FREE the Foundation will match an additional book for each featured story, up to 10 books! That's 50 extra books that could be added to our library!

Through the Indigo Adopt a School program all fund raised go directly to the school and all participating schools receive a 30% discount off books when they shop at Indigo, Chapters and Coles.

As you know our current annual library budget is approximately $4000, which is $7 per student. Using the funds received through the program we are hoping to be able to purchase many more books than our budget allows to support the passion for literacy at our school.

Please let me know if you have any questions and please visit adoptaschool.indigo.ca from September 18 to October 9, 2016 to show your support for our library! I look forward to surprising the staff and children at Hyde Park Public School with all the new library books this year!

Sincerely,

Kathy Whitley, Principal
